- Inception has a transparent idea about dreams for example the mirror scene is a reference to Citizen Kane giving the idea of a dream within a dream
- Inception is hyperreality for when they are in dreams and they start me up like building is on top of which other curves and bending to roads it gives this hyper reality able to bend structure and architecture making the audience feel that it is a dream
- It is intertextuality for it explanation of the infinite stairs this expands that anything in the dream can be possible with creativity
It is pastiche for it many different genres all rolled into one helping us understand the sci-fi action and adventure elements in the film showing the audience how this is all possible. - The simulacra in the film is that each level of subconscion is a simulation of the previous level as well as limbo being the furthest point from reality.
