minor - Mum character skinning Building a Skeleton

Now that the ribbon spine is done the next step in skinning is to build a skeleton and add detail in the frame in term of rotating certain areas, for example when rotating the wrist sideways it is not only the wrist that turns but also a part of the forearm to support it. adding these little details and the skeleton to the mum character will help her move realistically.

  1. Hi Laura - Quick question. Have you skinned your characters before creating your rigs? I don't see it on your blog. The steps are...make a skeleton (and ribbon spine), skin your characters, and then create the control rig. It's harder to skin the character and add pose space deformers after rigging it.
